The 50-hour MiKK training IN ENGLISH aims to qualify practicing family mediators for mediation in cases of cross-border family conflicts, including mediation in cases of international child abduction as well as access and custody disputes.

The training will introduce participants to the relevant legal aspects of international family conflicts featuring

The 1980 and 1996 Hague Conventions,

The Brussels IIb (Recast) Regulation, which entered into force in August 2022. The Regulation significantly strengthens mediation, by requiring courts to consider mediation in all cases involving children, particularly in international child abduction cases.
